This collection consists of papers accumulated by Robert M. Montgomery from 1953-1966, during his employment in the Division of Elections and Archives, Michigan Secretary of State. The collection consists mainly of letters in and carbons out relating to acknowledgments of courtesies received, termination of trust established by his grandfather, copies of federal income tax returns, text of speech given before the Michigan Townships Association (Oct. 6, 1953), and copies of travel vouchers (1953-1966). Also includes telegrams, memoranda and general correspondence relating to investigations of elections in 1955.
